SPECIAL BENEFIT INFORMATION

(RETIREES)

After you have received your Medicare Card, Part B, you will need to apply for the Special Benefit reimbursement.

Call Mercer at 1-800-207-9012, Pension Information, and ask representative about Medicare/Special Benefit Reimbursement.

RETIREE NEWS

RETIREES OVER AGE 65

Retiree insurance has been extended until April 30th, 2008.  The Steering Committee and Atty. Mike Fayette are still working on a potential settlement.  No new meeting date for retirees has been set at this time.  Any retiree who did not receive a letter regarding the extension and would like a copy, please contact a union official.

RETIREES UNDER AGE 65

Retirees under age 65 will continue with imposed insurance. 

To all retirees, please report your current telephone number and address if you have not received any mail from union.

1)       Write down the name of the agent that is handling your call and their extension.

2)       Write down important information such as when they will return your call, etc..

3)       Make sure they understand you are a Bosch employee/retiree.

LOCAL ELECTION TIME DRAWS NEAR

EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE AWARE THAT OUR LOCAL UNION GENERAL ELECTIONS WILL TAKE PLACE THIS YEAR.  IN PREPARATION FOR THIS WE NEED ALL INTERESTED MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING TO CONSIDER RUNNING FOR THE OFFICE OF THEIR CHOICE. 

THIS MONTH WE WOULD LIKE ALL THOSE MEMBERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO SERVE ON THE ELECTION COMMITTEE TO BE AT SUNDAY’S MEETING AND MAKE NOMINATIONS OR ACCEPT.  IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND YOU MAY ASK A FELLOW MEMBER TO NOMINATE YOU AND ACCEPT IN WRITING.

THE NEXT IMPORTANT ITEM IS SETTING THE ACTUAL DATES THAT THE ELECTIONS WILL BE HELD.  PLEASE PLAN ON ATTENDING THIS MONTH’S
REGULAR MEMBERSHIP MEETING, 3/9/08 AT 2:00 PM AT THE UNION HALL.
