Notice To All Bosch Retirees
Proposal Meeting
Results of the retiree meeting held on Thursday April 24th, Our lawyer Mike Fayette laid out the potential settlement, he also passed out a highlight sheet on how it will be administered. After discussing the proposal and answering questions it was agreed to move forward and advance the proposal for Court approval, this proposal must be approved by the court before implementation.
The basic change will make all retirees responsible for $1,200 every calendar year for the first 5 years, after 5 years it will be capped at $1,500 no further contributions for the retiree's lifetime. This will not be in the form of a premium, retirees will reach their respective yearly out of pocket expense thru two groups. The amount for family will be $2,400 for the first 5 years and capped at $3,000 there after. Vision, Dental and Hearing will remain as before.
Group 1
Retiree's over 65 or those Medicare eligible will reach the $1,200 thru paying for their first $1,200 in prescriptions. The Medicare part B will be fully paid, and automatically be increased to cover the full cost.
Group 2
Retirees under 65 or non-Medicare eligible will remain on the current ppo plus plan (as of 1-1-08). Retirees will reach there maximum out of pocket expense through prescriptions and co-pays. The maximum out of pocket expense is $1,200 in a calendar year, after 5 years it will be capped at $1,500.
Those of you retirees who could not attend can pick up a copy of the highlight sheet at the union hall between 8 am and 12 noon Monday thru Friday, if you are out of town or state please call us and we will mail you one. Those living out of state it is especially important that you contact us, our BCBS advisor has informed us that she needs to make special arrangements with each BCBS agents in your state.
